MAPS is part of Farah`s Blood in the Sun trilogy, about the civil strife in Somalia under a totalitarian dictatorship. Askar, whose parents are dead, has been raised by an Ethiopian woman, Misra--and because Somalia is at war with Ethiopia, Askar`s loyalties are divided.
